EC2000SE incorporates a RESET switch normally used to reject
 a coupon being held within the unit after a mag data read.

On power-up this switch can be used to put the unit in a
 mode using simple STX/ETX block protocol so that update files
 can be transfered to it bypassing the loaded customer's
 protocol and specific customer parameters.


To access this mode:

1.  Power the unit OFF.
2.  Press and hold the RESET switch.
3.  Turn unit ON and allow unit to boot.
4.  Wait for the "Program Download Rdy" message to be
     displayed (or steady beep/alarm, if version of 
     product does not have a display)

    The unit comm parameters will be:
     19200 BAUD
     8 DATA BITS
     1 STOP BIT
     NO PARITY
     STX/ETX BLOCK PROTOCOL
     STX = 02hex
     ETX = 03hex

5.  At this point, follow the normal update document to update the firmware.
